Obituary

Nan Elizabeth Warren (Robbins) Brannon was born December 17, 1937 in Laurel, MS and was raised in rural Jones county in a close community of family and friends. She passed away July 31, 2022 at her home in Riggs Retirement Community in Raymond, MS. Visitation for Nan will be held at Morrison Heights Baptist Church on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 from 10:00am to 11:00am followed by service at 11:00am. A Family Graveside service will be at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Laurel, MS.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James Ezra and Ruby Lee Warren, brother James Edgar Warren. Sister Jerry Warren Hilbun, her first husband of 39 years, B.T. Robbins, her second husband of over 20 years, Charles R. Brannon, and granddaughter Angel Michelle Robbins. She is survived by her son, Bryan T. "Rob" Robbins, Jr. (Donna), daughter Elizabeth Robbins Smith (Jeff), and daughter Allison Robbins Patterson (Tommy). Surviving grandchildren are Bryan Robbins III
(Christine), Bethany Robbins Brand (Brad), Lora Smith, Tyler Smith (Katherine), Nolan Smith, Clay Patterson (Kristen) and Daniel Patterson. She also adored her great grandchildren, Avery, Ava, Bennett, Charlee, and Madilynn.

In addition to her roles of wife, Mom, Mamaw and volunteer in various church ministries, Nan served as church education secretary, church music secretary, children's choir coordinator, first grade teacher assistant in Clinton Public Schools, bank teller, and various other short term work positions. Nan was known for her performing and entertaining abilities in many church choirs, ensembles, Morrison Heights washboard band, impromptu skits and music events, and most recently as a regular entertainer at Riggs Manor Retirement Community. Some of her Morrison Heights friends may remember that she appeared onstage with Tony Orlando in Branson Missouri while on a Sr. Adult trip. She also cherished her close friendships through her Sunday School class and long time Bunco group.

While raising their family in Jackson and Clinton, Nan and B.T. enjoyed outdoor family activities of camping, boating and water skiing. She retained many wonderful memories of her longtime friendships from the days at Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Jackson. While they lived in Clinton, the grandkids enjoyed going to Mamaw and Papaw's house to fish on the lake, swim in their swimming pool, and ride bikes or go carts.

During the time she was married to Charlie Brannon and lived in Arizona, Nan was blessed to serve alongside Charlie in their community of Sun City West, stateside in opportunities such as Campers on Mission, and in numerous ministry venues overseas. She and Charlie also hosted weekly Sunday night gatherings of friends in their home for times of food and Christian fellowship. Nan was so thankful to be included as part of Charlie's family and circle of friends.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Riggs, Kare-In-Home Hospice, her caregivers, Morrison Heights Baptist Church staff and Sunday School class members, as well as her many friends and extended family for their support and prayers during the last weeks. Nan was secure in her salvation and as she approached her final days was ready to go meet Jesus. We are confident she is with Him now and rejoice that we will one day join her there. We praise the Lord for her life well lived!
