Mildred Ragsdale Harper, 94, died on Sunday, August 20, 2017, in her home in Madison, MS. She was born in West Helena, AR. on February 2, 1923, to George and Agnes Ragsdale. She married the love of her life, Louie Robert Harper, Sr. November 17, 1940. They were married for 64 years until his death in February, 2005.
She was a devoted wife and mother who loved to garden, cook, sew, and make a wonderful home for her family.
She is survived by her son, Louie Robert Harper, Jr. and his wife, Danna; her daughter, Jenny Harper Tutor, and her husband Jimmy; grandsons, Trey Harper and his wife Meredith; David Bates and his wife Christina; granddaughter, Ashley Harper Markland and her husband
Ben; great granddaughters, Sophie and Ellie Harper; great grandsons, Jack and Reid Markland.
She is also survived by her brother, Earl Ragsdale; a special niece, Kay Goode, and many other nieces and nephews, and certainly not least, her beloved, fur baby, Millie.
The family would also like to thank her caregivers Rhonda and Lauren Mann, and Destiny Nichols for their care and devotion in these last months of her life, as well as the incredible staff from the Baptist Hospice Agency.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 22, 2017.
