Michael Joseph Votta, 73, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023.

He was born in Brooklyn, New York on January 2, 1950. He was the oldest of four sons. When he was in his youth, he loved to play stickball and baseball. Michael proudly served in the United States Navy. Michael was an adventurer, fisherman and lover of animals, especially dogs. Michael spent his career as an Instrumentation and Electrician Manager.

He met the love of his life in 1972, Mary Ellen Febick. They married on May 7, 1973. Michael and Mary were blessed with 50 years of marriage that brought them 2 loving sons, the oldest, Michael N Votta (Lindsay Votta) and the youngest, Daniel J Votta. Michael is also survived by his younger brother, Stephen Votta and many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 5:00pm – 6:00pm at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home, Flowood followed by a Celebration of Life service at 6pm.
