Michael "Mike" Wayne Kelly, 71, of Brandon, MS, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022. Mike is survived by his wife of 53 years, Kathleen "Kathy" (Warriner) Kelly; his mother, Ruby Hayes Kelly of Union; his sister, Barbara Smith of Union; his children, Christine Richardson (Mike) of Brandon and Cindy Grantham (Jacob) of Madison; and his grandchildren Zach, Olivia, and Seth. He is preceded in death by his father, Alvin Wayne Kelly.

Mike was born on September 3, 1950, in Philadelphia, MS. After graduating high school, Mike enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served until he was honorably discharged in 1975. After his service in the Marines, Mike joined the Jackson Police Department where he served for 20 years. After retiring from the police department, Mike began working for WorldCom where he managed its network security department. After leaving WorldCom, Mike joined Regions Bank as a regional investigator for its corporate security department. After retiring in 2018 from Regions Bank, Mike enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his friends and family.

Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, April 16, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., with a memorial service to follow at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home, 114 Burney Drive, Flowood, MS 39232. All family, friends, and loved ones are welcome to attend and celebrate Mike's life.
