Michael Grogan passed away on June 15, 2026, after a long battle with cancer. He was 82 years old. He was a well-known interior designer and the “inventor” of Star©Boxes. His art and design work was featured in numerous newspaper articles and magazine articles in Southern Accents, Traditional Home, and Mississippi Magazine.

He is survived by his son, artist Patrick Grogan of Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph W. “Joe” and Imogene Bennett Grogan, and his brother, Dr. James Erwin Grogan.
