Michael Brian
Carmichael
July 16, 1972 – April 25, 2023
Michael (Brian) Carmichael, 50, of Learned, Mississippi, left to be with the Heavenly Father on April 25, 2023.
Brian was the oldest of three children of George M. "Mike" and Wanda Posey Carmichael in Meridian, MS on July 16, 1972. Brian grew up in and around Jackson and Clinton where he never met a stranger and all the neighbors knew him. His grade school education was primarily split between Byram and Clinton after which he went to Hinds Community College.
His earliest career landed him in Ridgeland as a firefighter and EMT. He left public service and worked in the insurance claims industry for many years before transitioning into nursing, becoming a Registered Nurse in 2014. Brian's vocations reflected his passion for helping people in need and he spent most of his life doing just that, not only through his employment, but by just being himself.
Brian is survived by his wife of 25 years, Stephanie, his daughter, Kelsi, his twin sons, Jake and Wyatt, his parents Wanda and Warren Sullivan and Mike Carmichael, his sisters Brandi (Richard McGahey) and Betsy Carmichael and a many nephews, nieces, great-nieces, and great-nephews who all called him "Uncle Bubba."
All that knew Brian knew he greeted everyone with a big smile and a tight hug. He was generous to a fault and always offered a helping hand. Brian loved God, his family, his community, and his country. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, building and fixing, but above all he loved his family and being a father. Brian expressed his generosity , kindness, and love like he lived life, full throttle.
