Obituary

Longtime Clinton, Mississippi resident Marygean Mary Skinner Taylor, age 66, died at University of Mississippi Medical Center on November 12, 2014.
Mary was born January 27, 1948, the fourth child of Louis Merodith Jack Skinner and Claragean Moore Skinner. After high school Mary attended Mississippi State University and met Martin she remained a committed supporter of both. Mary was a twotime cancer survivor and member of several survivor support groups. When not managing the office at Orbit Oil Company, she loved traveling with her husband and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mary was a very active Clintonian and enjoyed promoting the city and supporting the Arrows as often as possible. A faithful follower of Christ, she was an active member of Morrison Heights Baptist Church and the adult choir for decades.
Mary is survived by her husband Martin sons Jay, Scott, and Steve daughtersinlaw Alisa, Amanda, and Erin and seven grandchildren, all of Clinton. She also leaves behind her sisters Ruth Burkett of Powell, TN, and Rebecca Moncrief of Kennesaw, GA, and her brother Louis Skinner of Union, MS. Mary was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held from 57 pm on Friday, November 14, 2014 at Wright and Ferguson in Clinton. Funeral services will be at 11:00 on Saturday at Morrison Heights Baptist Church in Clinton with an hour of visitation beforehand.
