Mary Jo Nail, nee Berryhill, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, surrounded by family at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Born on September 20, 1946 to Daniel T. and Josie Bush Berryhill, she was raised in Learned Methodist Church and later became a member of Learned Baptist Church.

She was a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, having served as Grand Esther as well as several stints as Worthy Matron.

She retired from Oakley Training School after 25 years of employment with the state of Mississippi.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert D. "Don" Nail, and son Robert Danward Nail.

She is survived by her son, Darral Bush Nail and his wife Nikki, grandson Davis Nail, and nephews Karen Cox, Jim Collins and Joe Ed Collins.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Raymond. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, March 11, 2022 at Learned Methodist Church with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Graveside services will follow at Morrison Cemetery.
