Mary Theresa Johnson, formerly of Clinton, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at St. Dominic Medical Center in Jackson.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.

Mrs. Johnson was born in Rockford, Illinois to the late Theodore and Hattie Nunkesser Kremeyer. She graduated from Rockford College with a degree in Speech Pathology and later earned her Master's Degree at the University of Mississippi.  She had a career as a Speech Therapist and retired from the Jackson Public School System.  Mrs. Johnson was a longtime member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Clinton.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dr. Darwin A. Johnson; son, Paul Andrew Johnson; and sisters, Wilma Bryant and Nancy K. Kesecker.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her sons, Dr. Kurt Johnson (Brenda) and Dr. Eric Charles Johnson (Thamory); daughter, Suellen Johnson; grandchildren, Vania Kuy, Dararith Kuy, Alvin Nguyen, Monika Johnson Barnes and Alex Johnson; and eight great-grandchildren.
