Martha Perkins Smith, retired purchasing agent with the MS Department of Transportation, died November 13, 2018, at the Arbor Nursing Home in Ridgeland. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 16, 2018 with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. before the service at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home, 114 Burney Drive, Flowood, MS. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park on Clinton Boulevard in Jackson.

She was born November 19, 1939 to Ed Ray and Evelyn Perkins. She was married to Robert Gerald Smith who preceded her in death on February 18, 2018. She was a member of Brandon Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna S. Broyles (Scott) of Little Rock, AR and daughter, Tanya S. Thompson (Allyn) of Brandon, MS; sister, Betty Perkins Davis (Al) of Water Valley; brothers, John Perkins (Ruth) of Water Valley and Van Perkins (Linda) of Brandon, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Brandon Baptist Church Building Fund, 100 Brandon Baptist Drive, Brandon, MS 39042.
