Martha Byars Crumby, 75, went home to be with the Lord on November 16, 2021. Services will be held on Monday, November 22nd at 11:00 a.m. with visitation at 9:30 a.m. at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton, Mississippi. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Pittsboro Cemetery, Pittsboro, Mississippi.

Martha was born in Houston, Mississippi on November 17, 1945 to Bill and Grace Byars. Martha was a graduate of John Rundle High School in Grenada, Mississippi and the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg. After graduation, Martha worked as a typing teacher at Greenwood High School until she had her daughter, Tara. When she returned to work, she was a secretary at Mississippi State Board of Dental Examiners and also later worked for the Mississippi State Board of Medical Licensure. Martha was a member of Parkway Baptist Church and Saving Grace Sunday School Class.

Martha was a devoted wife, loving and caring mother, and the best Mimi to her two grandchildren, Peyton and Grace. She always put the needs of others ahead of her own. She will be missed dearly by all that knew her.

Martha is preceded in death by her father, Bill Byars, and her husband, Tom Crumby. She is survived by her mother Grace Byars, daughter Tara Greenwood (Joel), brother Bill Byars (Linda), sister Betty Smith (Robert), her two grandchildren, Peyton and Grace, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family requests memorials be made to Parkway Baptist Church in Clinton, Mississippi.
