Mrs. Marjorie "Marge" McRae Riser Roseborough was born on January 29, 1928 in McNair, Mississippi to her parents Conrad and Maude (Burkett) McRae. She passed away on May 4, 2015 in Cape Coral, Florida.
Marjorie is survived by her loving husband of 10 years Mr. Robert "Bob" Roseborough; children Charlotte (Stanley) Riser Harris, George (Mary) Conrad Riser, Martha (Steve) Riser Riley, John (Heather) Benjamin Riser, and David (Karen) Charles Riser; grandchildren Jessica (Greg) Meehan, Justin Harris, David Riley, Moira (Steven) Lowry, Caitlin (Aaron) Moore, John Riser, George G. Riser, and Gordon Riser; great grandchildren Lily Meehan, Shepard Moore, and Cathedral Moore; siblings Louise McRae Code Kearse, Richard (Mariann) Guy McRae, and Barbara McRae Hopper; many nieces, nephews, family and friends who will miss her dearly. Marjorie is preceded in death by her late husband of 53 years Mr. Charles Robert Riser, her parents, siblings Margaret McRae, Fred McRae, and John McRae.
Marjorie and Charles Riser were married on February 25, 1949 in Jackson, MS. They soon moved to Virginia where they raised their five children. After retirement they lived in Southern Shores, North Carolina and enjoyed many years at the beach and on their sail boat. In 2001 they decided to make a permanent move to Burnt Store Marina, Punta Gorda, FL. Marjorie suffered a deep loss when Charles passed away in March 2002.
Marjorie married Robert Roseborough in July of 2004 and they enjoyed many years of companionship. She was welcomed into the Roseborough family with open arms and loved Bob's children, grandchildren, and great grandchild dearly.
Marjorie's passions included her family, traveling with both Charles and Bob, playing golf, tennis, flower arranging, and gardening. She had a special knack for growing orchids. She was very fortunate to have traveled to many places around the world.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 8, 2015 from 2 pm - 3 pm at the Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home, 201 Hinds Blvd., Raymond, MS 39154. A funeral service will begin at 3:00 P.M. Burial will follow the service at the Raymond Cemetery, Raymond, MS.
