Marie Pickett Thornton, 81, went to be with the Lord, on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, peacefully at her home.

Marie Thornton was born on November 9, 1942, to Clifton and Agnes Pickett. She was raised in Clinton, Mississippi, and was a graduate of Clinton High School and Mississippi College.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Thornton.

She is lovingly remember by her son, Geoff Thornton (Gayle), and granddaughters Chance and Story Thornton.

Visitation will be Friday, December 22, 2023 from 4pm-6pm at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton.
