Marie Burchfield Smith, 87, passed away on November 12, 2013 at her home in Madison. Funeral Services for Mrs. Smith will be on Friday, November 15, 2013 at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton at 2:00pm with Visitation Starting at 12:00pm. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Smith was born on March 31, 1926 in Ethel, MS to Mr. James Homer Burchfield and Mrs. Ray Bell Burchfield.
She is preceded in death by her husband James H. Smith, her parents, brother Lamar Burchfield and sister Ella Mae Bain. She is survived by her son James R. Smith of Madison, MS, brother J. D. Burchfield of Ackerman, MS, sisters Juanita Standard of Ethel, MS, Polly Holston of Brandon, MS, Gwendolyn Fleming of Montgomery, AL, Betty Love of Jackson, MS and Numerous nieces and nephews.
