Marie Birdie Moore, 93 of Jackson, MS passed away on May 20th, 2024 peacefully in her sleep.

A graveside ceremony will be held on Friday, May 24th, 2024 at Lakewood Memorial Park at 2:00 pm. Mrs. Moore's family have chosen to have a small gathering of close friends and family to celebrate her life in lieu of a visitation.

Marie was born on December 18th, 1930 in New Orleans, Louisiana to her late father and mother Clarence and Janie Falks. Marie was born into a large and loving family where she was one of seven children.

(Brothers- Jessie Andrew Falks, Clines Edward Falks, and Curtis Paul Falks)

(Sisters- Myrtle Earlene McNamee, Ruby Lee Wadford, and Ima Jean Kynerd)

Marie moved to Jackson, Mississippi later in her life and lived in the North Jackson area. While in Jackson she met and married her husband James David Moore whom she had five children with.

(Sons- James David Moore Jr. "Jimmy", and Kenneth Dale Moore)

(Daughters- Connie Lee Cook, Bonnie Jean Hafers, and Brenda Earlene Moore)

Marie worked in the insurance business throughout her adult life, and retired after thirty-three years as an adjuster with AIG. Marie also was a very devoted Christian and attended Colonial Heights Baptist Church for many years.

Marie loved shopping, her Ole Miss Rebels, and spending time with her family. She was very loving and caring mother, and adored all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Who all adored her as well.

We will all miss our sweet and beloved "Mimi" and will cherish all the wonderful memories spent with her.
