Margaret Marie Matthews was born on July 10, 1925 in Hollandale, MS. Most of her adult life was spent in Clarksdale and Jackson, Mississippi.
She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Monroe and Euna Foster; husband, Robert H. Matthews; Sons, Arnold M. and Larry G. Matthews; brother, Charles Foster; sister, Helen Sweeden.
She is survived by, son, Robert S. Matthews (Bessie); brother, Thomas G. Foster (Gara); Sisters, Patsy Duvall and Dorothy June Bourgeois (Richard). Grandchildren, Dawn Matthews Broach (Rusty), Larry Guice, Jason Matthews (Jenny), Greg Matthews, and Clint Matthews (Pam). She has 5 great- grandchildren, Chloe, Bailey, Mallory, Erin, and Henley. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Her profession was a seamstress where she worked at Norman shirt Factory and provided alterations for several Cleaners in the Jackson area. Some of her favorite things to do was cooking for her family, growing a garden and using her green thumb to grow beautiful flowers. She loved her family very much and loved spending time with them.
