Madie D. Griffith, 94, passed away Friday, February 10, 2017. A Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Griffith will be held on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 2:00pm at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton with Visitation beginning at 12:00pm. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Griffith was born in Lawrence County MS on November 14, 1922 to Alice and Conway Nations. Madie went on to become a QSE Inspector for General Electric retiring after 43 years of service. Madie was a founding member of Robinson Road Baptist Church and is a current member of South Side Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Cletus C. Griffith; her parents, Alice and Conway Nations; siblings, Floy May Hyatt, Benevia Lupo, Robert Nations, Mattie Herrington, Rena Armstrong, Christine Barrentine and Willard Nations.
She is survived by her son; Mickey Griffith (Pat) granddaughters; Shelie Etheridge (Andy), Christie Griffith Irby great Grandchildren; Devin, Kalee', Breanna, Lauren, Olivia great great grandchild; Ember and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Southside Baptist Church.
