Lydia "Jackie" Mae Johnson, age 85, died peacefully of natural causes on July 5, 2021, in Clinton, MS surrounded by family.
Jackie is survived by her son, Charles Kelley, Jr., of Wesson, MS; her son, Steve Kelley (Joanne), of Clinton, MS; her son, Ron Kelley (Adrianne), of Pleasant Grove, UT; and her daughter, Skye Gray (Michael), of Pearl, MS. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Lewis and Thelma Andrews of Raymond, MS; her brother, Bobby Lee Andrews of Vicksburg, MS; her sister, Fayrene Womack of Brookhaven, MS; and her daughter in law, Janet Kelley of Wesson, MS.
Jackie was born April 23, 1936, in Raymond, MS to parents Lewis and Thelma Andrews. She graduated from Hinds Jr. College where she was a Hi-Stepper. After college Jackie began a career as a flight stewardess with Delta Airlines based out of Miami, FL. She later married and had four children to whom she dedicated her life to.
She enjoyed being outdoors, loved music, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She will always be remembered as a loyal and loving matriarch of her family.
A visitation is scheduled for 10:00am to 11:00am on Thursday, July 8, at Wright and Ferguson in Clinton, MS with a graveside service to follow at Raymond Cemetery. Pat Cronin will officiate. Pallbearers are as follows: Colton Kelley, Ethan Kelley, Ritchie Morrison, Lee Morrison, Beau Morrison, Matthew Morrison, Michael Gray, Thomas Cronin and Jason Cronin. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jackie's life. The family would like to thank PAX Hospice for their genuine and compassionate care during her final days.
