Lucy Ann Barksdale of Clinton has passed away. Services for Lucy will be held on Saturday at 10:00am at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton, MS with visitation starting at 9:00am. A private family burial will be held at Hollywood Cemetery in McComb, MS.

She was born July 3, 1942 in McComb, MS to Robert and Lucy Wroten Barksdale Sr. She attended Gibson High School. She later graduated from Mississippi College in Clinton with a BA in Religious Education and The University of Southern Mississippi with a Masters Degree of Education. She taught school for over twenty two years in the Mississippi Public School System.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Lucy is survived by her brother, Robert Barksdale, Jr. of Jackson, MS three nephews Stephen W. Barksdale, James A. BO Barksdale of Clinton, MS and Lance Barksdale of Terry, MS and niece Robyn Barksdale Wiegand of Terry, MS, also a total of eighteen grandnephews, nieces, great grandnephews and nieces.

All though Lucy did not have any children, as a school teacher just think about how many children she had in her life and how many childrens lives she influenced over the years.

Memorials may be made to the Clinton Community Christian Corporation, at P.O. Box 21, Clinton, MS or at their location at 2001 West Northside Dr. Clinton, MS.
