Obituary

Lucretia M Purvis was born on July 19, 1939 and went to be with Jesus on March 30, 2025. She was best known to family and friends as "LuLu". She always had a smile on her face and called everyone Honey or Sugar. She loved her family and friends, and no doubt loved her Jesus. We know he has been holding her hand all these years as she battled Dementia.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years Homer Purvis of Flora, MS, Daughters: Ramona Hales of Clinton, MS, Paula (Mac) Hasie of Bolton,  MS, Angela Blackstock of Clinton, MS and Kimberly Purvis of Pearl, MS, Sons: Curtis (Stacey) Smith of Sebastopol, MS, Rodger (Janice) Smith of Flora, MS and Don (Patsy) Smith of Oxford, NC.  She's also survived by 18 grandkids and 25 great grandkids. Also survived by a sister Flo (Clyde) Phillips of Carthage, MS and a host of niece's and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father Richard Fleming, mother Mable Fleming, brothers Gerald Fleming and Robert Fleming, sister Irene Quinn, grandson Clay Smith and great granddaughter Josie Rae Purvis.

Services will be held at Franklin Baptist Church in Flora, MS with visitation from 9-11 and service starting at 11. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Flora, Ms.
