Lucille Roberts

Lucille Roberts, 76, of Clinton, Mississippi, passed away on August 30, after a courageous journey with rheumatoid arthritis and SMA syndrome.

Lucille was born on September 13, 1949, to Dewey J. DuBose and Eunice DuBose in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Beloved by her Aunt, Mildred Lott, she was also raised in in Hattiesburg. She graduated from Riverdale High School in 1967. Lucille also went to Pearl River Community College for two years. She was an executive secretary to the director of K&B Drug Stores in New Orleans, LA and worked as executive secretary at Shell Oil Company, New Orleans, LA,

In 1981, Lucille married the love of her life, Rodney Roberts, and enjoyed 44 years and raised two children, Holly and Melissa.

During her lifetime, she enjoyed to travel to Tennessee and Great Smoky Mountains National Park. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and reading. As a member of First Baptist Church Clinton, she trusted and loved Jesus.

Lucille is survived by her husband, Rodney; her children, Holly Kay Benedict (Patrick Benedict), and Melissa Tullos (Nathan Tullos) and her grandchildren Ella Anne, Eli, Charlie, and Felicity.

A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church on September 5, 2026, at 2:00 PM with visitation at 1:00 PM.
