Luceille Owens passed away at her home on Friday, March 2, 2018. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 4, 2018 from 4-6 pm at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 5, 2018, at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Wright and Ferguson with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.

Mrs. Owens was born in Columbia, MS. She worked for the MS Department of Public Safety for 25 years. She was a member of the Tennessee and Mississippi Sheriff's and Peace Officers Mississippi Law Enforcement Officers Association. She was a member of Central Mississippi Dulcimer Association, Goshen Pisgah Homemakers Club and the Rankin County Homemakers Volunteers. Mrs. Owens wrote the Lake Harbor column for the Rankin County News for years. She was also a member of Lake Harbor Baptist Church and Lake Harbor Community.

Mrs. Owens is survived by her daughter, Barbara Jo Kovarik; three grandchildren, Chuck Kovarik, Lou Ann Srite, and Ben Kovarik; many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
