Lorraine Glace
Ramsey
August 25, 1928 – August 9, 2022
Lorraine Glace Ramsey, 93, passed away August 9th, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be held at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton, MS on Monday, August 15th at 11:30AM to 1PM followed by a memorial service and burial at Lakewood cemetery.
Lorraine was born in Elmhurst Queens, New York City, New York on August 25th, 1928. She met her husband, Marion Lee Ramsey, who was serving in the Army. They were set up on a blind date and from that day forward they were inseparable. They married 8 months later and were together 70 years.
She is preceded by her husband, Marion Lee Ramsey, daughter Christine Ramsey Vaughn, parents Frank E Glace and Myrtle Essler Glace, brothers Frank Glace and Walter Glace and sister Gladys Glace Trefney, and granddaughter Amber Usry Jones.
She is survived by her daughter, Jane Ramsey Usry. Grandchildren Harvey Vaughn III, Victoria Vaughn Jones (Shea), Lori Vaughn Grimes (Eric), Michael P Usry Jr (Leah), Andrea Usry Gifford (Dave), Falan Usry Lannoy (Allan), Lindsey Usry Stevens (Jake) along with 13 great grandchildren.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she enjoyed the Monday Senior luncheons. She loved to paint, play cards, and especially enjoyed watching beautiful sunsets. She adored her beautiful grandchildren and great grandchildren and was deeply involved in their lives. Lori was an intelligent woman who was successful in all her endeavors. She was a parental figure and played an important role in all her children as well as grandchildren's lives. One of her favorite activities was playing bridge with her good friends, and spending time with her dear neighbors. She was active in the Clinton Community Theater and received the Board of Directors Award in 1988. Lorraine worked for Snelling and Snelling in staffing and in real estate for many years. She was a great example to her family and will be missed very much.

Lorraine had a great love for animals. She made many donations and loved to spend time visiting the animals at CARA.
