PAULS, Lois C. (Cook), age 95, died peacefully on August 17, 2025. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on September 7, 1929.
Lois attended Southwest High School in St. Louis where she was class valedictorian. She earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Kansas in 1951 and married her high school sweetheart, Gerald Arthur Pauls, the same year. She lived in Brandon, Mississippi for over 30 years. Lois worked part- time in the office at the Jackson Yacht Club and volunteered with AARP helping prepare income tax returns for seniors. Lois was an avid Bridge player and a member of the Jackson Bridge Association. She was a long-time member of Lakeside Presbyterian Church. Lois was a devoted wife and mother and will be dearly missed.
Lois was preceded in death by her beloved husband Gerald (Jerry) Arthur Pauls. She was the only daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Cook, of Des Peres, Missouri.
She is survived by her two children, Barbara Dianne Pauls, and her husband, Charles Struckmeyer of Vienna, Virginia, and Eric Karl Pauls and his wife, Patricia Redmond of Scottsville, Virginia. She was the proud grandmother of 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
Services will be held at the Lakeside Presbyterian Church on Saturday, September 6. Visitation begins at 10 am and the Christian Celebration of Life will start at 11 am. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in St. Louis. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lakeside Presbyterian Church, or to the American Cancer Society.
