Obituary

Lois Bailey Landry, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, teacher, and friend, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 30, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on January 7, 1949, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Lois lived a life marked by kindness, faith, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.

Lois was the beloved daughter of Harry T. Bailey Jr. and Martha Folds Heaton Bradford. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bradford Thompson Bailey.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Robert H. Landry Jr.; her daughters, Bridgett Landry Monistere (Brian) and Kelly Landry Norsworthy (Erik); her cherished grandchildren, Nicholas David Monistere, Samuel Landry Monistere, Emery Bailey Norsworthy, and Landry Ford Norsworthy; her brother, Harry T. Bailey III; and her sister, Bridget Bailey Massey.

A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, and a longtime resident of Brandon, Mississippi, Lois was a faithful member of St. Mark’s Methodist Church in Brandon. She shared her love of children and her gentle spirit as a nursery school teacher at St. Mark’s Methodist Church for several years, nurturing and teaching countless young children during their earliest years.

Lois found her greatest joy in her family. Together, she and Robert built a loving home and shared 55 years of marriage filled with faith, commitment, and devotion. She was a loving wife, a devoted mother, and a proud grandmother who cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren.

She will be remembered for her grace, her faith, her caring heart, and the love she freely shared. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy lives on in the family she cherished and in the many lives she touched throughout her years.

May she rest in God’s eternal peace.
