Linda Murray Gibson passed away February 28, 2026 at the age of 82. Linda was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on April 10, 1943 to Edith and Albert Murray.

Linda was a teacher in the Clinton Public Schools for over 30 years. Many of those years were as a sixth grade gifted and talented teacher at Lovett Elementary School in Clinton, Mississippi. Linda loved teaching and was very proud of her many students who became very successful. Linda was a devout Christian and loved the Lord and her church family.

She was predeceased by her parents Edith and Albert Murray, sister, Charlotte Carter, brother-in-law Joe Carter and niece Jessica Carter. She is survived by her loving husband David Gibson, sons Mark Case (Lisa), Brian Case (Renee), grandsons Corey Case and Cameron Case, stepdaughter Sharon Stidham (Kevin), step grandson Austin Stidham (Emily), step great-grandson David Stidham, nephew Christian Carter and wife Leslie. Her miniature poodle Maggie will greatly miss her wonderful love and care

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at 12:00 pm, followed by a memorial service at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church Clinton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may to made to First Baptist Church Clinton.
