Obituary

Linda Marler Cooper, age 83, of Brandon, MS (Reservoir), beloved wife, mother, sister, and aunt passed away at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland on Saturday, November 12, 2O22, surrounded by family.

Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Cooper, and parents, Inez and John Marler.

She is survived by her children, David Cooper (LeAnn) of Hallsville, Texas, and Holly Turner (Kelvin) of Brandon; sister, Diane Marler, and brother, David Marler (Midge) of West Bloomfield, MI; grandchildren, Cooper, Carson, and Katie Turner. She will be missed by her nephew, John Marler, III (Amanda), and their two boys of Grosse Pointe, MI, and niece, Megan Marler, of San Francisco.

In earlier years, Linda enjoyed playing tennis, walking, going to YMCA classes with her friends, sailing, and travelling with her husband, Leroy, on motorcycle trips. Although primarily a wife and mother, Linda worked outside the home in a variety of positions. While her husband was getting his Engineering degree from Mississippi State, Linda worked on campus as a secretary. Later she was a church secretary, and worked for an engineering firm among others.

Visitation will be held from 10:00am – 12:00pm on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Flowood. There will be a private family burial at Lakewood Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice Ministries, 450 Towne Center Blvd, Ridgeland, MS 39157.
