Linda Venable Burgess born July 18, 1950 in Texas, passed away on July 18, 2015 from a long battle with cancer. She was raised in Bentonia, MS and resided in Flora, MS at the time of her passing.

Linda was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. She adored her family, especially proud of her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Enjoying NASCAR and Mississippi State football, she was also an avid sports enthusiast. Linda enjoyed the outdoors, had a love of animals, and always had a kind word for others. She was a prankster and loved making people laugh. Linda was loved dearly and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Linda was preceded in death by Isaac Jackson & Beulah Venable - parents of Bentonia, MS, Dorothy Jones - sister of Mesquite, TX, Jack Venable - brother of Mesquite, TX and Dennis Venable - brother of Star City, AK.

Linda is survived by William "Billy" Burgess - husband of Flora, Josh Tanner - son of Flora, Wendy White (David) - daughter of Canton, Ava Tanner - granddaughter of Shreveport, LA, Krystal Coward (Jonathan) - granddaughter of Canton, Tabetha McDaniel (David) - granddaughter of Canton, three great grandchildren Trey, Kloey and Malleigh, Sonya Truelove - sister of Charenton, LA, Jim Venable (Linda) - brother of Franklin, LA and sister Cathy Robbins - sister of Byram. Many brother in-laws, sister in-laws, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
