Leo Joseph Bobby Fields of Clinton, MS passed away on May 24, 2022 at the age of 83. He was born on October 18, 1938 in East Bernstadt, KY. He grew up during the depression with his parents J. Arthur Fields and Sylvia J. (Peavler) Fields, 3 brothers, Jimmy, Paul and Billy and 1 sister Ada Fields Ivy. He served proudly in the US Army from 1961-1963 during the Cuban Conflict where he served in Germany. When he completed his service with honorable discharge, he returned to college attending East Mississippi Junior College, Mississippi State and the University of Mississippi where he worked to successfully earn his Pharmacy Degree at Ole Miss. He proudly served his fellow veterans by working as a Pharmacist at the Mississippi Veteran's Affairs Hospital in Jackson, MS for 28 years retiring in 1997 at 57-years old to enjoy retirement. He and Sue were able to complete their "Bucket List" by traveling all 50 States and visiting the majority of the National Parks before he became unable to travel. He leaves behind his wife and high school sweetheart of 63-years, Sue Boykin Fields, 2 daughters, Pam Thomason (Mark) of Clinton, MS; Paula Crowe (Bob) of Clinton, MS; 5 Grandchildren Alan Thomason (Meredith), Ashley Byrd (Jeremy), Nicholas Crowe, Noah Crowe, Nils Crowe and 4 Great Grandchildren Tripp Thomason, Reese Thomason, Keegan Byrd and Ollie Byrd. He was proceeded in death by his parents James & Sylvia Fields, 2 brothers, Jimmy Fields, Billy Fields and 1 sister Ada Ivy. Graveside Service will be held at Clinton City Cemetery in Clinton, MS on May 28, 2022 at 10:30am.
