Obituary

Lawrence McNair "Mack" Worrell (75) went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, February 20, 2022. He was born on May 15, 1946 in Lebanon, MS (Hinds County) to Howard T. "Sonny" Worrell and Gladys Williams Worrell.

Mack's love was fishing; a cane pole and crickets and a nice sunny day. After high school, he attended Barber college. Mack joined the Army, became Sergeant First Class E-7 during his 14 years and was honorable discharged with several decorations, medals, and campaign ribbons awarded such as BIFV Master Gunner.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice (Carmichael) Worrell, brother, David Exum Worrell (Tommy Lynn); sons, Lawrence McNair "Larry" Worrell (Lisa), David James Worrell (Anita); grandchildren, James Richard Worrell, Brandi Leigh Worrell Bishop (Blake), Hunter Blake Worrell (Hailey) and Adam Isaiah Worrell.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Howard Terry Worrell Jr. and William Thomas "Willie" Worrell.

Visitation is Wednesday, February 23, 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Raymond, MS. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 24, at the old Lebanon Presbyterian Church in Lebanon, MS.

His pallbearers are Randall McCool, William Winton Worrell, Christopher Drew Boleware, David Exum Worrell, Robert Earl Kelly, Scott Anthony Bonner, Thomas Earl Kelly, and Glenn Kelly.
