Larry Wayne
Lick
April 3, 1956 – January 17, 2025
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our father, Larry Wayne Lick, on January 17, 2025, after a brief illness at age 68.
Survivors include, daughters Staci Renee Lick, and Kari Lick Finnegan (John Michael), his precious grandsons, Rowan H. and Ronan S. Finnegan, his loving siblings, Charles "Chuck" Lick, and Paula Lick Duren, as well as many other cherished family members.
He is preceded in death by his parents Mary Elizabeth and Marion T. Lick.
A lifelong resident of Raymond Mississippi, Larry was employed by Ergon, retiring after thirty plus years as a draftsman. An accomplished horseman, Larry loved in regaling tales of his time on the rodeo circuit where he won many buckles in bull riding and team roping. His love of horses didn't stop with his equestrian skills, but continued in his avid motorcycle adventures. He was often seen taking jaunty trips to visit his "best little buddies", Rowan and Ronan, where short rides around the neighborhood sent sounds of delightful laughter into the wind. Larry was a true believer in his family, and treasured every moment, good or bad. His family was built on the foundation of love, laughter, and truth; and his cherished memory will always be a beacon for everyone to shine.
Visitation will be held at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 9 am, with funeral services to be at 10 am. As per Larry's wishes, there will be no graveside services; however, please express your condolences by sending a monetary gift in Larry's memory to 5th Squad via 5thSquad.com in lieu of flowers.
A Biker's Prayer:
May the sun rise in front of me, the rain fall behind me, and the wind follow me.
May the angels guard my travels for they know what's in front of me, and kept me safe through rolling hills, and swirling turns.
Let the eagle guide me upon their backs as they soar my spirit o"re mountain tops, and may the moonlight sear my nightly path to you, my Lord and Savior.
And May, oh Lord, I pray, You hear my thankful prayer, for I am ever so grateful to have been blessed to be a biker.
AMEN
