“Kristi” Lewis Applewhite, born Kristine Michelle Lewis, 57, of Clinton, MS, passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 13th, 2026, on vacation, surrounded by loved ones.

Kristi was born December 31, 1968, in Barberton, OH. A deeply loving, sacrificial person, always at the ready to go above and beyond for her people, Kristi followed Jesus's example. Growing in her faith was a cornerstone of how she lived her life. Always available for a good time, Kristi breathed life into any room she entered. Kristi was a wild soul at heart. Despite living with a chronic illness, Kristi never let her condition slow her down. A passionate and gracious host, her joy was always found in gatherings with her friends and family. She was especially proud to be “Mimi” to her two grandchildren, Cory (3) and Blakely (infant).

Kristi is survived by her son and daughter, Jonathan Dustyn Baker (wife Nicole Baker) and Alexis Annabelle McAlpin (husband Blake McAlpin), along with her mother, Wander Walters, and brother, Gene Lewis. She was preceded in death by her father, William Lewis.

A memorial service to honor Kristi's life will be held May 2nd, 2026, from 10am to 12pm at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton, MS.
