Kimberly Ann
Prisock Townsend
February 23, 1962 – April 11, 2023
Kimberly Ann Prisock Townsend was born to Joy Porter Prisock and Billy Max Prisock in Jackson, Mississippi on February 23, 1962, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center. She left this world for her heavenly home on April 11, 2023, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, Mississippi. Kim was the epitome of love and compassion, and her happiness and radiance brought joy to everyone who knew her.
Kim was a 1980 graduate of Provine High School where she and David first became sweethearts, and she was also a cheerleader. She received an Associate degree from Hinds Community College and graduated from Delta State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Commercial Design and Advertising.
Kim and David made Raymond, Mississippi their home and built a solid and active life together raising their sons, Jordan and Dallas. They became members of the First Baptist Church of Raymond where they worked with first and second graders in Sunday School for over 20 years. Sharing the love of Jesus with children was a great blessing to Kim, as her childhood faith remained an anchor throughout her life.
Kim's life was centered on a ministry of service to others. As a mother, she stacked up years of service driving Jordan, Dallas, and their friends to school and sports, serving on the Board at Central Hinds Academy, and creating countless signs, designs, logos, and programs for the school.
A love of horses was also an anchor in Kim's life. From a young age, she had a passion for all things related to horses, including drawing, riding, racing, and grooming them. Her horses Micah, Fresca, and Solomon knew she loved them.
As a creative spirit, she could draw, paint, photograph, and design. She created her own successful graphic design business, Kim Townsend Advertising, and used her passion for natural medicine and nutritional response testing to help many people lead healthier lives through her business, Naturally You.
Kim Townsend lived and loved with the same faith as the car tag she displayed: "IBLEAV."
Kim is survived by her husband of 36 years, David, and their sons, Jordan and Dallas. She is also survived by her mother, Joy Porter; brother, Billy Jackson Prisock (Melody); brother-in-law, Don Townsend (Liz); sister-in-law, Susan Townsend Easterling (Irving); and her aunt, Jo Ann Caston (Louis). She is also survived and dearly loved by her Jackson and Pate cousins, and her many nieces, nephews, and their families. Kim was preceded in death by her father, Billy Max Prisock, her brother, Kerry Prisock, and her husband's parents, Myrna and Paul Townsend.
In lieu of flowers, please contribute to your charity of choice in memory of Kim. Thank you.
