Obituary

Kenneth Carroll Hutson, 64, lost his fight with liver disease and left this earth to join his Heavenly Father on September 28, 2015. He was born in McComb, Mississippi, to Nelsie Marie Laird Hutson and Robert Earl Hutson. Kenny grew up in McComb, Mississippi, where he attended McComb High School. He worked in both the commercial and private sector of heating and air conditioning before becoming employed at Hinds Community College, which became his home. Kenny retired from Hinds Community College in 2004. Before Kenny became ill, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and other outdoor activities. One of his greatest joys was building and flying radio controlled model airplanes. He most enjoyed spending time with his family. Throughout the years, he volunteered as a little league coach, cub scout leader and a boy scout leader. Kenny was a past member of the Masonic lodges of both Raymond and Learned. He served as a Master Mason of the Auburn Lodge, an achievement of which he was very proud.

Kenny is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Benny Hutson and Larry Hutson and a sister, Joan Hutson Bland. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Cindy Pruitt Hutson of Raymond, MS, two sons, Jeremy Blakeney of Brookhaven, MS and Casey Hutson of Raymond, MS, three grandchildren, Brittnee Blakeney, Adalynn Blakeney and Vaiden Blakeney, all of Brookhaven, MS and two brothers, Bobby Hutson (wife Sarah) of Brandon, MS and Tommy Hutson (wife Peggy) of Clemmons, North Carolina, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Friday, October 2, 2015 from noon until 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Raymond. Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on October 2, at First Baptist Church of Raymond. A private burial service will be at Bear Creek Cemetery in Utica, MS.
