Kenneth Lee
Cook
September 4, 1940 – February 2, 2024
Kenneth "Ken" Lee Cook was born September 4, 1940 to Kenneth & Louise Cook in Oklahoma City, OK, and peacefully passed on February 2, 2024 in his home in Brandon, MS.
Ken grew up in Oklahoma City and married Emilie Cook Holland. Together, they had three sons. In the early 70s, their family moved to Ft. Lauderdale, FL, where Ken fell in love with the ocean. Ken enjoyed deep-sea fishing, sailing, shelling, snorkeling, diving and boating. He, also, enjoyed hunting and working in his yard.
Due to his career success as a salesman, Ken's family was relocated to Jackson, MS in the 80s. He married Donna Jackson Cook in 2000. Together, they resided on the Ross Barnett Reservoir as they continued their love of the water.
Ken was most loved for his infectious laughter and sense of humor. It was common to be shook by his strong grip as he greeted everyone. He had a way about him that made people feel special and would stand up for those that he loved. His positive spirit will be sadly missed.
Ken is survived by his wife, Donna Jackson Cook; his sons, Brad Cook of Panama City Beach, FL, Matt Cook (Jennifer) of Philadelphia, MS, and Ross Cook (Sara) of Brandon, MS; grandchildren, Tyler Cook (Mackenzie), Carley Cook, Chase Cook, and Avery Cook; and his great-granddaughter, April Cook.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth & Louise Cook; his brother, John Cook; and his cousin, Tom Havenstrike.
Ken will leave a void in our hearts that cannot be filled.
