Kathryn S. Alford, 87, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2017 in Jackson, MS. Visitation for Mrs. Alford will be on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Wright and Ferguson Funeral home in Clinton, MS. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Roundaway Baptist Church in Doddsville, MS at 11:00am with visitation starting at 10:00am.
Mrs. Alford was born on August 19, 1929 in Kansas City, Kansas to Issac Herbert Simmons and Doris Inez Calhoun. Mrs. Alford graduated from Linn High School and went on to attend MS Delta Junior College. In 1950 she married Willie Clyde Alford.
She was preceded in death by her parents Issac and Inez Simmons, husband of 42 years Clyde Alford and three sons Terry Lynn, Harry Glenn, and Willie Clyde "Bill" Jr. Alford at Linn Methodist Church
She is survived by two daughters, Lucille Elizabeth Milstead and Sandra Lynn Manuel; one son Charles Edward Alford all of Clinton, MS and 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
