Obituary

Karen Bogle Townsend was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who leaves behind a lifetime of love and memories that will be cherished by her family forever. She was born on September 3rd, 1950 in Gracemont, Oklahoma.

Karen’s greatest joy was her family. She and her beloved husband, Robert Terry Townsend, shared 57 wonderful years of marriage, building a life filled with love, laughter, and togetherness. Family was at the heart of everything she did. Every weekend, the family gathered at Karen’s house for dinner and family games, making memories and carrying on traditions that meant so much to her. Those weekends were something everyone could look forward to, and they became a special part of the family’s life together.

Karen is survived by her husband, Robert Terry Townsend; her three children and their spouses, Terry (Dana), Kenny (Michelle), and Angela (Joey); 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, her brother, Rodger Bogle (Becky); and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Leo Bogle and Jimmie Ivy Lee, and her brothers, Jack Bogle and Jerry Bogle.

When Karen wasn’t spending time with her family, she enjoyed being out in her garden, tending to her plants and taking care of the things she loved. One of her favorite traditions was the family’s yearly trip to Tennessee. These trips gave everyone time to get together, share stories, laugh, and enjoy being with one another. They were something Karen looked forward to each year, and the memories made on those trips will always hold a special place in her family’s hearts.

Karen will be remembered for the love she gave so freely, the care she showed her family, and the traditions that brought everyone together. Though she will be deeply missed, the memories she made, the love she shared, and the family she brought together will continue to live on for generations to come.
