Julia B. Weeks, 84, passed away on September 10, 2024 in Ridgeland, MS.
Mrs. Weeks was born on August 27, 1940 to Steve Isaac Barton and Ela Mae Cupit Barton, she was the 7th of 12 children. In 1958 she graduated from Oak Grove high School in Oak Grove, LA and in 1959 after completing business school she moved to Jackson, MS. She married John Walter Weeks in 1964 and they enjoyed 19 happy years and shared 3 children together before his passing in November of 1983. She worked for Deposit Guaranty Bank (later Regions Bank) as loan officer and later bank manager from February1960 to September 2002, that's 42 yrs. 6 months and 15 days to be precise. She enjoyed reading her Bible, word find puzzles, Clint Eastwood movies and classic country music. Raising three young children as a widow, she'll be remembered for her gentle and giving nature, the love she showed to her family and her wonderful Thanksgiving meals.

Mrs. Weeks was preceded in death by her husband, John Walter Weeks, her parents and three of her siblings, Steve, Bobbie, and Herman.

She is survived by her three children, Kelly Deanna Garner (Larry), Jowanna Anne Wood (David) and John Michael Weeks; grandchildren, Ashton Wood, Jordan Wood, Taylor Wood, Lacey Garner and Charlotte Roberts; and great grandchildren, Bryson Wood and Mackenzie Wood. She is also survived by siblings, Billie, Hazel, Bonnie, Linda, Margie, Mickey, Ronnie and Dorothy.

Visitation for Mrs. Weeks will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton from 12pm to 1pm followed by a service at 1pm. Burial will be at Lakewood Memorial Park.
