Obituary

Julia Earline Rigby Rogers passed away on December 14, 2013 at The Arbor in Ridgeland, MS. Visitation will be 57pm Tuesday December 17, 2013 at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton. Graveside services will be 11:00am Wednesday December 18, 2013 at Greenville Cemetery.

Earline was born February 1, 1922 in Pope, MS to Earl and Marcia Rigby. She attended Blue Mountain College and MSCW graduating with a degree in elementary ed. She later received her masters at the University of MS. She married George E. Rogers of Booneville, Ms November 26, 1946. She taught school in Marks, Cleveland and Greenville where she retired as assistant elementary supervisor. She and George were active members of First Baptist Church, Greenville until 1994 when they moved to Clinton to be closer to their daughters and joined First Baptist Church, Clinton at that time.

She is survived by her daughters, Julia Blalock and Rebecca Swanner of Clinton and grandsons, Thomas Blalock, James Swanner and Ross Swanner, her brothers, Bill Rigby of Jackson and Charles Rigby of Huntsville, AL. She is preceded in death by her husband, George, her granddaughter, Jessica Blalock and her sister, Helen Peeples.

Memorials may be made to the Baptist Childrens Village or a favorite charity.
