Julia Posey Latimer passed away Monday, December 16, 2024 in Clinton Healthcare after a short illness.

She was born December 30, 1922 in Yazoo City to the late Angus McDonald Posey and Helon Gregory Posey. Julia was most proud of her namesake, Julia Collins Gregory, her grandmother. After attending both Elementary and High School in Yazoo City, she spent her freshman and sophomore years in the college which was then known as "MSCW" then transferred to "Ole Miss" where she became a member of the Chi Omega Sorority.

Julia was a member of Galloway United Methodist Church. She is survived by her two sons, Sam W. Latimer, III and Douglass Ray Latimer.

Julia's family will honor their loved one with a private service at her final resting place in Glenwood Cemetery, Yazoo City, Mississippi.
