Judith Ann Shearer, 68, passed away on July 25, 2023. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton with visitation beginning at 12:30 p.m. before the service.

Judith was born on January 4, 1955 in Meridian to parents Edwin Knight Clayton and Ann Jones Clayton. She graduated from Mississippi College in Clinton with a degree in bookkeeping. She accepted a position as a bookkeeper at J. E. Construction where she worked for more than 20 years.

Judy was a great family woman and a loving mother. She married Michael Shearer in Memphis. She enjoyed fishing, playing games on the computer and cooking. She also enjoyed spending time with her best friends, Lisa and Dorothy as well as her dogs, Bully and Chico. Her family and friends will always remember her as happy and outgoing.

Judy was preceded in death by her son, Tristen Fewell; her grandson, Tanner Fewell; and her brother, Bobby Clayton.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Shearer of Clinton, MS; her daughter, Kristi Russell of Chattanooga, TN; her grandchildren, Will Fewell, Bryce and Brody; and her brother, Edwin Clayton.
