Joyce Ann Fricke Gray, 82, of Brandon, MS, passed away peacefully, on Saturday, October 1, 2022.

She is preceded in death by: her husband, Tom Gray, her parents Chris and Elizabeth Fricke, and her siblings, Rev. Robert Fricke, Bill Fricke, Betty Schuler, Ronnie Fricke, Jerry Fricke, Rosemary Redmond, Jim Fricke, Judy Reinersman, and Tommy Fricke.

She is survived by: her four children, Gretchen Ware of Brandon, Tom Gray of Gulfport, Ted Gray (Paula) of Brandon, Tim Gray (Robin) of New Orleans; seven grandchildren, Joey Gray (Drew) of Jackson, Elizabeth Gray of Brandon, Allen Murtagh of Brandon, Kasey Murtagh of Houston, TX, Westley Gray, Colton Gray, Miles Gray, all of New Orleans; and two great-grandchildren, Mamunia Gray and Freya Gray.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Two things that were important to Joyce were God and her family.  She remained faithful to both throughout her life.  She and her husband moved numerous times, living in nine different cities, before making Jackson their final home.  From going to church as a little girl, to becoming a mother and taking her four children to church with her, her faith was a big part of who she was. Once her children got older, she worked at Castlewoods Country Club for over 25 years, serving in various positions.  It was there she formed many lifelong friendships.

Growing up with nine siblings, she had a large extended family, including many, many nieces and nephews, that she loved dearly.  She enjoyed spending time with them, and especially looked forward to their spring visits.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to either Catholic Charities or a charity of your choice.

Visitation will be at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct 5 ^th at St. Paul Catholic Church in Flowood, followed by a funeral mass at 10 a.m.
