Joyce Lambert Carpenter, born March 23, 1938, went to be with Jesus on August 28, 2024. Joyce is pre-deceased by her husband, Ed Carpenter, to whom she was married for 62 years, her parents, Cabe and Matiel Lambert of Jayess, MS, and two older sisters and her two brothers.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Torres, and her grand and great-grand children, Glenn Torres (Kristy, Willam and Emmalyn), Graham Torres (Darrah, Welles and Lincoln) and Griffin Torres (Ashlee, Eslee and a baby due in October). She is also survived by her sister Carolyn Bruce (Don) and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was a long time resident of the Clinton-Tinnin area and a faithful member of Beulah Memorial Baptist church in Bolton.

She will be remembered for her love of family and spoiling her grandchildren, whom she loved with her whole heart. She enjoyed feeding and watching the birds, especially the hummingbirds, and she always had pretty flowers.

Joyce had a love of Southern Gospel music and was happy to share the message of Jesus. We are happy to know that she has joined Jesus and is now healed.
