Joseph Louis LeBreton went home to be with his Heavenly Father on December 28, 2023 at 9:20am at the age of 86.

Joseph was born and raised in New Orleans and attended Hope Haven School and graduated from Fortier. He enlisted in the Air Force where he fought for his country for 4 years before deciding he would rather have a career in accounting. He went on to Loyola University for night school where he slowly but surely finished enough credits to start working in the accounting field. He began bookkeeping for Bernard Lumber. He later went on to work for Charity Hospital and then the State of Louisiana.

Jospeh relocated to Tullahoma, TN for a few years after Hurricane Katrina but would eventually call Brandon,MS his home. He lived with, Gerald, Erin and their children for the remainder of his life. He will be greatly missed by his immediate family and his entire chosen family that adopted him as their Paw Paw as well.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph LeBreton, Sr. and Kizzie Milligan, sister, Amie Scardino; his beloved wife of 50 years, Nancy Kemp LeBreton; and his 3 loving children, Gerald Louis LeBreton, Joseph Michael LeBreton, and Melissa Ann LeBreton.

He is survived by his sisters, Anita Hurley (Clay) and Kay Pacheco (Ben); grandchildren, Gerald Jason LeBreton (Erin), Elice LeBreton Pavlovich (Bobby), and Karol Michelle LeBreton; great-grandchildren, Caleb Alexander LeBreton, Alyssa Marie LeBreton, Skylar Elizabeth LeBreton, Taylor Ann LeBreton, August William Pavlovich, and Ettienne Alphonse Pavlovich.

His family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at St. Dominic Hospital for caring for him during the last few weeks of his life.

Funeral services will be held at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Flowood on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 2:00pm. The family will receive friends from 12pm – 2pm.

Joseph will be laid to rest in the Maplewood Cemetery in Tullahoma, TN.
