Johnny A. Wells, 70, died Saturday September 6, 2014 at the Baptist Hospital. Services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM in the Sanctuary of Alta Woods Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM on Monday at Wright and Ferguson in Clinton and again on Tuesday morning beginning at 10 AM at Alta Woods Church. Burial will be Tuesday at 2:30 PM in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Magee.

Johnny was born on June 9, 1944 in Magee, MS, to the late Earl and Delma Wells. Johnny and his wife, Sue Wells, were members of Alta Woods Baptist Church. He enjoyed watching football, playing golf, and spending time with his wife, two children, and four grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Wells his son, Stacey Wells his daughter, Tiffany Wells Treacy and her husband Steve four grandchildren, Brooks Wells, Ryan Treacy, Allison Treacy and Michael Treacy. Other survivors are his brother, Jimmy Wells Boochie and his sister, Jane Mundy Doug of Tallahassee, FL his sister, Sadie Jones Sonny of Hattiesburg his sister, Becky Jean Sullivan Buddy of Magee and his brother, Paul Lang Pat of Vicksburg.

The family would like to give thanks to the staff at Baptist Hospital for their kindness and care they gave to Johnny and his family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
