Johnnie Riddell Ward, 88, died Thursday, February 9, 2017. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Raymond Baptist Church. Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am in the Raymond Cemetery.
She was a lifelong resident of Raymond until a few years ago when she moved to Heritage House in Vicksburg. She was known for playing the piano at several churches and telling a good joke. Mrs. Ward was active in the Raymond community and loved by many.
She was preceded in death by her husband Cecil C. Ward and her parents. Survivors are her daughters, Cecilia Young of Raymond; and Teresa Chaney of Vicksburg; she leaves behind four granddaughters; Cherie Cotton and her husband Frank of Brandon; Lacey Lee and her husband Ryan of Vicksburg; Logan Garner and her husband Evan of Birmingham; and Liza Tidwell and her husband Blake of Vicksburg; and seven great grandchildren with another one on the way.
