John Thomas Potts, 68, passed away Monday, August 19, 2024 in Jackson, MS.

John was born on November 5, 1955 to Byron and Helen Potts. He attended St. Joseph High School and Mississippi State University and received an honorable discharge after serving in the Army post Vietnam.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

John is survived by his loving wife, Susan McBroom Potts; children, Torrie Owens (Chris), Damon Potts (Rebecca), Mary Helen Johnson (Nathan), and Michael Byron Potts; siblings, Janet Potts, Michael Potts (Cathy) and Nancy Hampton (Doug); multiple grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held beginning at 10:00am Saturday, August 24, 2024 at St. Andrew's Cathedral in Jackson. Funeral service will be held at 11:00am with Reverend Christopher McAbee officiating.
