John C. "Sam" McInnis, a resident of Raymond, MS passed away unexpectedly on February 20th, 2024 at the age of 63 while in Cordova, TN.

John is survived by his wife of 42 years, Martha; daughter, Amanda Ray (Chase); son, Owen McInnis; one sister, Chellie Yates (Paul); three grandchildren; Charley Jane, Cash, & Camden Ray and numerous nieces & nephews.

John is preceded in death by his parents, John & Beth; sister Molly McInnis Chesteen and brother, James McInnis.

John was born in Jackson, MS on July 5th, 1960. He was a graduate of Provine High School & Hinds Community College.  John recently celebrated 40 years of employment with United Rentals, where he was well respected & will be missed by many.

John enjoyed anything outdoors especially hosting friends & family by the pool, hunting with friends, working in the yard, & spending time with his adoring grandchildren.

A visitation is scheduled for 11:00am – 1:00pm on February 23rd, 2024 followed by a funeral service at 1:00pm at Wright & Ferguson in Clinton, MS.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.
