John Stephen Barron died May 2, 2021 in Jackson, MS. He was born May 17, 1967, the son of Howard and Mary Ann Simpson Barron. After graduating law school, John was in private practice in Jackson for several years. He was a member of Briarwood Presbyterian Church for 42 years where he served as Elder, Sunday School Teacher, Youth Assistant, and in other various rolls. He loved to cook for congregational meals and is most famous for his fresh Sunday morning biscuits, and in the winter, sausage gravy.

John was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Laura Ann Terrebonne. He is survived by his niece, Lyndsey Ann Terrebonne and family friend, Marcus "George" Robinson.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Briarwood Presbyterian Church in Jackson, MS with visitation beginning at 9 a.m.
