Jessie A. Jackson was born on October 15, 1957 in Lubbock, Texas to Bob Jackson and Marilyn Hall (formerly Jackson). He passed away on June 2, 2022 in Flowood, Mississippi.

He is predeceased by his daughter, Rachel Gail Jackson, two sisters, Marena White and Julie Nay, and his father, Bob Jackson. He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Potvin (David), two grandchildren, Elliott and Asher Potvin, former spouse, Patty Jackson, mother and stepfather, Marilyn and Tom Hall, three sisters, Diane Smith, Heather Alcarez, and Sierra Adams (Daniel), and several beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Jessie loved family, black coffee, nature, fishing, hunting, the news, and any movie with Clint Eastwood or John Wayne. His younger years were full of adventure. He served in the Army and backpacked the US. He was an expert carpenter, an avid collector, and spent his retired years trying to relax.

In accordance with his wishes, he was cremated and will return back home to Lubbock, Texas.
